Riverside
Veterinary Group, located at 219 West 79th Street in the heart of the Upper West
Side in New York City, has been an veterinary care practice since 1953. In it's present
incarnation, it was purchased in 1994 by Dr.
Kasanofsky and Dr.
Raclyn and completely gutted and reconstructed.
We
were recognized in 1996 as an AAHA hospital, meeting the strict standards of quality
established by the American
Animal Hospital Association. Riverside Veterinary Group is one of only
seven private owned veterinary practices in Manhattan that have achieved AAHA
certification
Our veterinary
hospital uses the latest in veterinary care technology including computerized electrocardiographic
monitoring equipment, non invasive blood pressure measurement devices, pulse oximeter,
isoflurane anesthesia, as well as offering a full compliment of alternative veterinary
medicine, including acupunture, electro acupuncture, homeopathy, Bach Flower Remedies,
and a host of alternative therapies that simply don't fit in any particular category.
We're proud of the way we integrate Western Medicine with Alternative Medicine,
and think we've achieved a level of care that is beyond the sum of the two modalities.
Riverside Veterinary
Group is a smaller practice than Riverside Animal Hospital, and that means even
more personalized attention, shorter waiting times and even more treats for your
pet! Despite our smaller size, we do offer an even more convenient location and
the same high quality of medical care that you and AAHA demands.
We had a major rennovation in Sept 2005 and the hospital is brand spanking new. Stop in to say hi, or just play with the kittens we usually have in the waiting room for adoption. Right after our rennovation, we were at once accredited by AAHA for another three years!
We
also offer boarding services. We have a backyard where we let the dogs have playtime
if the weather permits. The cats get personalized attention many times throughout
the day. |
